This is a story about a Highschool girl by the name, Ilisé McQuill, who is perfect in every way but her inability to make friends. She is a 17-years-old Honours Class student and the Adoptive Daughter of a counsellor, Mathew, who signed her up for the "MAKING FRIENDS AND NOT BEING SOCIALLY INCOMPETENT CLUB," and yes, that is the name of the club. 
Mathew, her counsellor, is an eccentric man in his early 20s who is addicted to manga, anime, cute girls, old-fashioned things, and teasing his "daughter."
