Soulmates.
Only around half the population had one, but 3.5 billion people is still a large number. There are several almost always true facts when it came to how soulmates appear, statistically speaking.
1. Soulmates aren't always romantic, sometimes being best friends, parents with their children, or siblings.
2. A name or a symbol, a soul mark, that holds special meaning appears on the body when the other person is born. In the younger's case, they would be born with it.
3. Very rarely are soul marks specific enough for someone to be able to track down their soulmate before the are destined to meet.
Fortunately for Myra, hers is specific. She was born with the name Jackson Baker in twirled letters on the inside of her wrist.
Unfortunately for Myra, he's New York's newest superhero. Now it could be ANY Jackson Baker, neither the first nor last name being uncommon, but Myra is fairly certain she has the right guy. Because one day her soul mark changed or rather, another name was added to it.
Steel Wings.
Yeah, Myra is pretty sure her soulmate is a superhero. And she's the only one who knows his secret identity.
