I love my murderer

The novel follows the lives of two characters of contrasting backgrounds and social status, one at the peak of a successful career, enjoying the spoils of a life of ease, the other struggling to make ends meet.
The plot is apparently simple: one morning, thousands of passers-by in a small provincial town are stunned at the sight of two beautiful, almost nude women on a giant banner plastered on top of a building in the old city. The women are look-alikes of the original real-life models who posed for Monet and Gauguin. But there's a problem: the shots were taken post-mortem. Since the police doesn't have the man power to properly investigate the homicide, they call on amateur detectives to bring their talents to the table, all for a chance to land a very generous reward. Among them, a fifty-four year old loser, whose only talent is his proficiency in photography. For him, this is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rise from the gutters of society and make a pretty penny to turn his miserable life around. Step by step, as the case unfolds, the photographer discovers that the perp is a dangerously charming person with a penchant for impressionist painting and photography - a description at odds with the killer stereotype of detective stories. After several twists and turns, he becomes more engrossed with discovering and decoding the killer's personality than chasing the much coveted reward itself. But he's not the only one who is after the murder, and solving this case is soon going to be trickier than the crime itself, as both the amateur detective and murderer fall in love with unexpected women.
