Darra while living at her cousins' house is pushed by a visiting ambassador to become the wife of a neighboring warlord. The warlord Obitus is a creature made of just literal bone and raw magic power. While the marriage between them is arranged to profit Obitus over the long run to his allies. He is pushed out of his comfort zone with his new wife who has more magic than just over his heart.
