Annabel - 'Blue' - was once a soldier, but she disappeared from the steel warriors and lost herself in the dust. She was a broken husk after she pulled the trigger on Danse, the man who had taught her how to carve a path for herself in the wastes. She was forced to obey the man she loved, obey Elder Maxson, and she broke. But little did the Commonwealth know, little did the Elder of the Brotherhood know, she was broken long before the bombs destroyed her world. She was broken and couldn't be fixed in her suburban life, but the wasteland is a forge and she welcomes the flames.

When the Elder comes barrelling back into her life, the last thing she expects him to offer her is a second chance at life. To have a family and a home. Except Maxson doesn't know what she knows and the consequences of their choices demand recompense.

A war is brewing and a leader is rising. The Commonwealth might not be ready for more fire.
