How We Met
As I see my mom walk out the door I look at my dad smiling at me. The way he smiled at me made realize how afraid he was. I glance at him and give him a fake smile before he comes up to me and gives me a hug. The warmth of his body was reassuring but I feel the tears start to come down his face. I didn't want to lose him......ever. My dad Kevin who always is there by my side needed me there for him I glance at him and smile and he kisses my cheek. He whispers "Everything...will be alright." I wasn't quite sure what he meant but I nod my head. He lets go of me and looks at me before he turns away he says "I will be in my room if you need anything, okay princess?" In a quiet tone I respond with an okay. I recall my mom saying before she left to me " I love you Samantha." It just replays and replays in my head "I love you Samantha." "Daddy don't go" my little girl cried while hugging my leg "Yeah daddy we'll miss you don't go" her twin said hugging my other leg. My oldest son just sat down in the couch with tears streaming down his face. I turned to look at my wife or should I say ex wife. She looked down at the floor with a few tear marks on her cheeks while holding our two other kids. "I'm sorry" I say dropping my bags and taking them off my legs to hug them. I went to sit next to my son and whispered in his ear "I never met to hurt you" after saying that I gave him a hug and ruffled his curly hair. I then went to my wife. "I'm sorry" I said kissing the tear marks, then her lips. I then kissed and hug my 3 year and 1 year old sons. "Daddy loves you" then grabbed my bags and left the house.
