The boy smiled, and I tried to keep my balance. He then reached out his hand formally, "Chase." I was in love.

I'm Finn Vasco but that's not quite important right now. I'm a pretty sarcastic guy if I'm gonna be honest. I'm closed off and I literally only have one friend. I might hate everybody in my school... but there's this guy there. He's... let's say, dreamy, someone who I thought would never even acknowledge my existence. That guy who was too damn good to be true, who was too good for me, who was too good for... everybody! You get what I'm trying to say. He's that cliché king of the campus and a popular and attractive heartthrob and with just one wink, he can send people on their knees... That sounded so wrong, anyway. So can you blame me for being over the moon when one day, he approached me only to what? ...To ask for my help courting my freaking best friend. I knew it was stupid for me to hope I'd even have any chance with him anyway. So I just agreed to help him. Even if I was hurting myself and potentially my best friend in the process, my best friend who has been there with me through the thick and thins, I still did it... I mean what could go wrong besides literally everything? So my plan was to just set my crush and my best friend up, and then everything would be alright... right? But of course, life doesn't like it when people have it easy. *** Highest Ranking #2 on #lgbtfiction #5 on #boyxboy #6 on #gay #8 on #teenfiction *** ~ WARNING: This story contains strong language and bullying. Riley and Devin by RoseAndBone

"How many romance books do you read?" Devin asks me. I shrug. "I like them," I say. I keep browsing, running my fingers along the spines. "So, you like romance then?" he asks me. I nod. "What's your favorite part of a love story?" "I like the very first kiss, but I like the second one even more," I say. I bite my lip and look at him. Oh. My. God. What the hell am I doing? Am I flirting? I think that I'm actually flirting. With Devin. Devin, my best friend. I have officially lost my mind. I should probably stop. But I can't seem to. "Will you grab me that one?" I ask. I point above my head, my back's pressed against the bookcase. He locks his gaze on mine and reaches over me to grab the book I asked for. "Thanks." I don't move and neither does he. Riley and Devin have been best friends forever-since Kindergarten. It's Senior year of high school, now. And it's always been simple, Riley's got his back, he's got hers. But as life goes on Riley can't help but wonder if maybe he's not just her best friend, if she likes him as possibly something more. As her feelings deepen and become something greater it becomes more evident that she's falling, really hard. No matter how hard Riley tries she can't stop falling, she can't stop from loving him. Even if it tears her to pieces or even if it destroys their friendship. Pretty soon Riley is going to have to choose between walking the safe line of friendship or taking the unpaved path of love. Will she risk everything for love?

Katiya Carpenter was born and raised in a perfectly small beach town. She spent her summers with the well-off "summer kids" and her best friends, she worked at the diner, and was top of her class. Life was good, until it wasn't. Eventually, Kate finds herself cheated on and unsure of her future. Until the Michaels move into town for the summer. And it might just happen that Jackson Michaels is exactly what she needs. ----------- I turned back to my friends, my eyes instantly running into Jack's. He was standing in front of the bleachers with Hendricks and a few other guys, talking to Genny. Jack was staring at me, as soon as I turned he flipped his head the other way. But it was too late. "Jack, right?" I said, smiling and getting his attention. "Yeah. You're Katiya, Kate." He gave me a dazzling smile. It made me smile back at him. "I mean, most people just pick one of the options, not both." He chuckled a little and took a step towards me. "Both is good. Who are you here to see?" He asked, looking around, and past me. "Nobody in particular." I seemed to say easily, even though I was in fact, here to watch Jason and my dad. "I mean, everyone. I know a lot of people. Small town." I tried to correct myself immediately, and I noticed Hannah holding back laughter as I stumbled on my words. "Gotcha." He said, still smiling wide and taking a glance back at the field. "Good to see you again, Katiya Kate." This time he said it as if it were one word. It made me smile on the inside. He turned and jogged back towards his team. I was such an idiot.

First love is hard enough. It's new and exciting and absolutely terrifying and maybe even unrequited. When it's difficult for Skyler to move on from her silly little crush, she just has to take a leap of faith... at least that's what she was advised. All that's easy to say, but how hard is it to actually confess your feelings, spell it out and put your heart on the line? Meet Skyler and experience this struggle with her. *************** "What's the worst a confession could lead to?" Skylar thought when she decided to approach her long time crush, everything that followed was absolutely unexpected and totally hilarious... Only, maybe it's not so funny for Skyler. Ayden Smith is a lone wolf, or so she thought. He didn't exactly go out of his way to make friends and was a little too self-sufficient for his own good. Is it even possible he might return her feelings, seems unlikely... but when their paths intertwine, and things get out of hand, what could happen over the course of a summer...? Other than a tonne of embarrassing things that is... **************** If you are in the mood for a sweet heartwarming summer romance with not too much drama, this is the one for you. Note: This story could lead to a lot of second-hand embarrassment, uncontrollable smiling and loud obnoxious laughter. Proceed with caution⚠ *************** Thank you blackwidow999 for the book cover.
