Scout Dawes was alone at the beginning of her life. Combine this with the absence of others in an apocalypse and the nagging memories of the life she once led, she soon became numb with acceptance. She became contempt with the fact a long time ago. Story over, right?  Nope. She let one person in once. This person was everything she had ever wanted. He offered love, he offered acceptance...a simple life with the obvious absence of stress or judging thoughts. He loved her and she loved him and they weren't afraid to show it to anyone. But there always has to be something evil to rip the two love-birds apart. So what if her true love returns, quickly followed by the evil and the aftermath? *I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING IN THIS STORY OTHER THAN MY OC'S AND STORYLINE. THE WALKING DEAD ISN'T MINE AND I DO NOT TAKE ANY CREDIT FOR ANY CHARACTERS, PLOT LINES ETC. ETC. THAT IS FEATURED IN AMC'S TWD.*  ***I ALSO SWEAR A LOT IN THIS STORY. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW.***  ^.^

We are, I promise you." "It just feels like we spend our lives fighting. We win one fight and then the next just seems to knock on the door." "And we'll win this one too. Remember what you used to tell Carl, what you tell people even now when they need hope. Say it." "We're the ones who live." "Goddamn right we are." ***** (Book 2 of 'Didn't See That Coming': Read that first if you haven't already!)
