Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. FREELANCER. BOOK ONE of the FREELANCER SERIES
Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. He wonders if this is his mind playing tricks on him or is his mind showing a future revelation. I do not own any characters from Classroom of the Elite. This story is just for fun. I hope you enjoy this story. Criticism is welcome. The characters will most likely be OOC, but I will try to keep the same mentality of everyone as the story progresses. This story was planned to be heavy romance but has turned into a thriller type story with a good emphasis on romance. I'm not smart enough to think of different situations for special exams, so I may skip majority of them if it does not affect the plot. I will put the ship at the bottom of the description.
