“I love you too Jace , always and forever.” And that’s the truth. I can’t imagine myself being without him even in a billion years. Every time we’re apart – which isn’t much anymore – I feel like I’m missing a part of myself. I want him to be next to me twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Even knowing that he’s in the same building makes me giddy with happiness. I never imagined that I could love someone as much as I love Jace.
“Then can I ask you another question?” Again, he doesn’t wait for my answer. He detached himself away from me and I give him a questioning look. But then he does something I didn’t expect making me forget of what I was about to say .
Jace kneels down to the snow filled ground and pulls out a small velvet box; I stop breathing in fear that it would stop this dream from happening. An overwhelming amount of emotions start pouring through me and small tears of happiness start to form. He slowly opens the box revealing a beautiful ring.
“Clary Adele Fairchild, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

This happens after the city of heavenly fire.(In the Mortal Instruments series) She walks in gracefully and says with so much venom, that I flinch, "Sit down and listen."
