The raucous sound of grinding metal echoed in my ears, sending violent tremors through my body.
Someone just slammed into us.
The thought was a wild refrain filtering through my shock and confusion. Dad's limp, silent body pressed against mine, cold and wet. When the car stopped sliding, my heart was a rabbit in my ribcage, kicking furiously. Blood stained my clothes and my hands shook. I couldn't shake the sense of wrongness reverberating through my bones. The steering wheel jutted out at an odd angle, pressing at a pain that grew nearly numb. I closed my eyes, willing that strange, desperate noise to stop. What was that noise?
I calmed down enough to see that it was my breathing. Overcome with panic, my lungs became a prison for air, burning and heaving... I shook my head, pressing hard against the immovable steering wheel. I looked out the broken window, and couldn't see the road. The car was flipped over.
An ugly noise throbbed through the darkness, and I covered my ears, mopping up red near my forehead.
It was me. I was screaming.

I was still figuring that out when suddenly, a bright light was shone on my face.I felt my eyes burn, trying to retain minimum light and it quickly adjusted as fast as it could.I looked towards the light-it was a van, honking and revving simultaneously.Even with my partially blinded eyes, I stood up slowly, minding my surrounding carefully as I tried to see the person in the van.Took me a split second to recognize the person and at that moment, I remembered how this nightmare started."Yes, yes, I remember everything".Those were the last words I said as I watched the van head my way and then.....Complete

"Y-you can't run away you have our baby," he says screaming "Bella Open the door" He yells and hits the window. "Please come back baby I'm sorry!" He looks at me and through the window, I can tell he isn't sorry. "I'm sorry" he repeats and I feel tears coming. "You...hit me" I sob. "I didn't mean to I was drunk!" he taps the window "Please baby I will work on myself, just get inside" He whispers. I start panicking. What happens when he finds me? Will he hurt me? Or kill me? I lock the car and turn the engine on. "baby please please" He sobs. I drive out of the garage and start the GPS. Once I do that I stop on the light and put my hand on my bump. Childhood friends, bound to fall in love. But what happens when love becomes an obsession? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Why are you here?" I blurt out before I can stop myself, surprising both of us. He raises his eyebrows, clearly caught off guard by the question. "Mara, come sit down," he says, smiling and patting the empty space beside him. I shake my head but, despite myself, find my feet moving toward the couch. "Are you still mad at me?" He asks, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Shut up," I mutter, rolling my eyes. It's clear I've got some unresolved anger. "You're the one who wanted out, remember?" he says, the hint of a challenge in his tone. "You threw me out of your car and disappeared," I snap, bitterness dripping from my words. "Okay, not my finest move. But I had to," he replies, his eyes flickering with a brief, almost imperceptible pain. "Why are you back now? Why my dad's company? Is this some kind of game for you?" I ask, frustration edging my voice. "Oh, bunny," he says, sliding closer. My breath hitches at the sudden proximity. "I told you I'd never let us be apart again." He grabs my face with his hand, shaking it slightly as if to emphasize his point. I gasp at his words. "W-wha-" I say nervousness stealing my ability to form words. "Yes, bunny. This is not a game. Never apart again. Okay?" He says sliding his thumb over my bottom lip.
INSIGHT ON MAI DIARY
The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me. "Alexa? "I whisper into the phone for the 5fth time . "Where are you? Please answer the call I'm in trouble " throwing my phone on the bed I continue packing my clothes. A roaring engine coming to a stop grabs my attention . If that is who I think I am ,I'm so dead. Softly I move towards the window ,careful not to make any sudden moves to alert anyone of my presence. I know that pitch black Audi sR8 . I would recognise that car anywhere . The door opens and he steps out . black shoes, black trousers and white dress shirt. His hair is gelled back and he wears an angry expression . " shit, shit ,shit" I scramble quietly towards my closet, press the button on the side. The closet moves and I get in the tiny space before the closet moves back into place. The front door creaks and his footsteps echoes through the halls. "Anna ! " He screams. I hear glass breaking just after that ."I know you're in here! Come out now!" more glass breaking . My heart thumps in my chest and I'm shaking . "You think you can hide from me? You think you can just break my heart and run away ! That ain't gonna happen baby! " I hear more glass shattering uncontrollably . "Come out!"He screams louder ,angrier . "You can't hide and when I find you . I will make you pay ! I will make your life hell . You hear me baby ! I'm coming for you and I will find you "
Striking Lies
It was a rush of hatred mixed with sarcasm that killed her. One bullet to her chest and then another and another, until she slouched her way down to the floor, covering the white walkways with red. Her now leaving me in a cold trance at the tiny framed friend of mine on the floor, well that is until I looked up to the barrel of the gun pointing at me now. My heart clenching together underneath my skin, pulse raising as I attempt to make sense out of all this, and the brief illusion of a shadow on the wall behind her, all tease me when I’m trying to think if this is all true. That’s when it happens; his dark hair flowing in his eyes from his lack of going to the hair cutter and his violet eyes deepening the stare between the two of us. Don’t shoot! I’ll do anything! Just don’t kill him. My thoughts scream at me, making my line of concentration grow slimmer with each word. Tears begun to fill the bottom of my eyes, my throat closing to the full extent, my ever so calm hands were trembling at my hips and the requirement of breath vanish from my lungs. His hands run out to calm this girl, speaking softly and letting her know that it will be alright if she simply lets us go. And just as she starts to give in to his pervasive act, the fire alarm sets off, sending her in a protective fury of gunshots. Hitting him dead on. Felt like a bullet to my heart.Complete
