" Love is an overrated and overused sentiment that literally has zero meaning. It's a complete waste of my time, and yet for some odd reason, you keep coming back no matter how hurt you get. Why!?? " She asked completely frustrated with everything, with him. " It's because, you mean the world to me. " He answered. " If you continue with this thing between us, you'll end up losing your mind trying to understand mine..." " You're worth it. " Highschool student Clarissa Hellwell is a girl who's life story is the complete opposite of what you'd expect in your cliché romance story. She either party's hard or she punches hard. No in-between.. After a transfer student joins the school, and takes an interest in her, he tries to figure her out. But little does he know she's not some open book, but more of a buried ruin. Will he be able to change her perspective of love, or will she remain in the clutches of the despair and hate that she's known her whole life?

Jenna Matthews is her high school’s “It Girl.” She has the looks, the boyfriend, the status. Life couldn’t be more perfect. Who doesn’t want to be loved by everyone and be ultra popular, especially in high school? Everything is great, and she’s looking forward to Homecoming and Prom, knowing that becoming Queen of her school is as good as done. But when her boyfriend, Landon Craig breaks up with her in the most public of ways, Jenna watches as all of that vaporizes before her. Can she get back in with the “It Crowd,” or is she now doomed to be a ghost in her school’s halls? Is there more to life (and love) than being the most popular? Is there a diamond in the rough willing to show her the true meaning of love (and life)?
