Nearly ten thousand years ago, a little ship called the Pilgrim is being pursued by a new and terrible force. It escapes, but just barely. It leaves behind a galaxy that sees the rise of a dangerous and evil new race of beings that will, in the years to come, chase out the dominate and more advanced Lantean people. Fast forward to the present day and Dr. Daniel Jackson, having spent the last few weeks on Earth to be with his ailing friend and leader, Major General Jack O'Neill, is preparing to return to the Pegasus Galaxy and the Ancient city of Atlantis. He and a small team of scientists have been searching through the Ancient database on Atlantis for a way to track down and reach the mysterious ship Destiny, lost somewhere on the other side of the universe. Their search leads them to the discovery of a forgotten computer system known as Seegan. Seegan holds many secrets and many solutions to their problems, including Stargate Command's inability to find the Destiny. While Seegan tries to locate the missing vessel, he recounts to Daniel Jackson and the others the lost history of a figure very familiar to Daniel and the Stargate Program. It's the kind of story Daniel has been wanting to hear. It's a tale about a time at the height of the Ancient's history. It's a story that starts at the beginning of their end.

37 parts Complete
Damien Vennar used to be a god. As a technomage, Damien had the power to create entire universes. Then, five hundred years ago, he gave it all up. He suspended the nanotechnology in his bloodstream and began to age--and eventually die--like anyone else. For centuries, Damien has lived among those who once worshiped him, his real identity fading into myth and legend. Hundreds of years later, when Ceril Bain finds Damien's old sword buried in his grandfather's garden, he is put on the fast-track to follow in Vennar's footsteps. Over the next six years, Ceril trains as a technomage aboard the Inkwell Sigil, a ship with the ability to travel between dimensions. Just as Ceril is preparing to undergo his Rites and finish his training, the Inkwell Sigil loses power. Stranded in space with no way back home, Ceril and four of his classmates are given their final assignment: go into uncharted territory, find a way back home, and bring back the one person who can fix the ship--Damien Vennar himself. While away, Ceril and his team find themselves in a predicament when they confuse an attempt at first contact with an attack and kill two of the world's winged inhabitants. They are shortly captured and imprisoned, and the only thing keeping them alive is their angel-like captors' belief they may be the subjects of an ancient prophecy about a group of magic-wielding messiahs. But that's impossible. Isn't it?

For centuries, humanity battled its own demons-war, destruction, the ever-present shadow of extinction. But against all odds, it endured. Nations united, wounds healed, and a single banner rose above the entire Earth: United Earth Government and later the United Federation of Planets. By the year 2288, humanity had transformed from a fractured species into a galactic civilization. The Federation stretched across the stars, its influence reaching every corner of the Milky Way. It was an era of peace, progress, and unmatched technological triumph. And yet... they were alone. No matter how far their ships traveled or how many worlds they surveyed, there was no sign of other intelligent life. The universe vast, ancient, and beautiful remained eerily silent. Theories once whispered in academic circles, the "Great Filter," the "Rare Earth" now loomed large and terrifying. Was intelligence a cosmic accident? Was humanity the only one to make it this far? Then, everything changed. On the eve of humanity's historic voyage to Andromeda (M31). As their science vessel prepared for its journey across 2.6 million light years, something unprecedented occurred. In a flash, space itself seemed to twist and fold, as the Milky Way merged with another galaxy in instant, one far larger and older than their own. Now, in this strange, limitless frontier, humanity's greatest adventure was only just beginning. Would they adapt and survive, or uncover something beyond their wildest understanding? Only time would reveal the truth... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heavily influenced by Nihonkoku Shoukan by Minorou, Anime GATE and various nation summoned novels here in wattpad. Summoning America version 1 has been discontinued. I may produce a completely new story but with the same title, some time in the future. in the meantime, please check out my other works on RoyalRoad by googling "Manifest Fantasy" or "Arcane Exfil" -- -- Entirely cut off from Earth, the United States finds itself in a scientific impossibility: the entire country, including the continental landmass and separated states and territories, was transported to another world. Unlike Earth, this new planet boasts phenomena unknown to science. Magic reigns supreme in this new region of the universe, bolstered by the natives' own scientific progression. Monsters roam wastelands and dungeons, subsisting off unfortunate travelers, local fauna, and sometimes even entire towns! Ambassador Samuel Anders is tasked with contacting the various nations and entities of this new world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. Eventually, fears surface regarding an ancient evil: the Ravernal Empire. How will the United States handle the threats of this new neighborhood? What magical wonders will its adventurous citizens find? This Summoning Japan (Nihonkoku Shoukan) inspired work will follow the United States as it is summoned to a Elysia. TARGET AUDIENCE: If you enjoy GATE or are otherwise interested in seeing how modern armies and technologies interact with less advanced societies, you'll enjoy this story. This story also features quality grammar and writing, with minimal typos and errors.
