When Brenna was eight, her mother was murdered in front of her. The barbaric men stole gold and riches from her home. Then, they burned her hut to the ground. She was left shivering in the cold mountains of Norway. She wandered aimlessly through the rough terrain. Fortunately, she was found by a group of Norsemen. Brenna is brought back to their village and raised by Asmund Asgeir. As she grows older, her divine beauty is undeniable. By the time she is sixteen, she is desired by many of the males in her village. Brenna does not show interest in any one of them. Asmund teaches her how to fight and defend herself. Before long she has earned the title of a shield maiden. By the time she is eighteen, Asmund sets her up to marry his nephew, Torsten Gounouf. Brenna seeks a challenge and demands that Torsten fight her for her heart and honor. If he wins, he may take her as his bride. If she wins, she chooses a husband for herself or no husband at all. The battle is not over before their village is attacked by one of their own. Now Brenna must fight for her heart and her life.

Valaena Fireborn of House Targaryen has been in exile her entire life. Robert's Rebellion twenty years ago forced her and her siblings out of their home to Essos. Valaena was sold to Khal Drogo as his wife so her brother could use her husband's army to retake their father's throne. Suffice it to say, Viserys didn't get his end of the bargain. After a life in exile with one objective in mind, Valaena is headed home. While in Westeros learning about the culture of her homeland and making alliances, Valaena meets three men who will change her life forever. Jon Snow, the stoic King in the North. Tormund Giantsbane, the fearsome wildling. Oberyn Martell, the red viper of Dorne. *This is abandoned, the rest is on my Tumblr* Warning: This book is not fit for younger viewers due to the sexual scenes, violence, and language it contains. There are massive spoilers in this fanfic. It takes place after the Battle of the Bastards in Season 6 of "Game of Thrones". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "He watches you in wonder and awe. Don't you want a husband that would do anything for you, like Khal Drogo?" Kovarro smirked down at me, like he believed he was helping me by attempting to convince me to marry Jon. Rather, he had pushed me too far. I grabbed his tunic and forced him to lean backwards over the waist high rafters, staring down at him with vehemence. "I will never try to replace Drogo. I got my vengeance, but I can never see my family again. The only thing I have left of them is my memories and Haggo's bells in my hair." I roughly shoved him into the rafters, ensuring the wood dug into his back, before letting him go and stepping away from him.

Chattan Bride

29 parts Complete Mature

READERS' FAVORITE FIVE STAR AWARD WINNER - As the daughter of a strong English baron, Isabel is compelled by peace negotiations to become the child-bride of the enemy, the powerful, handsome and fierce Scottish Laird of the Chattan clan, Alysandir. Her youth and his distaste for a marriage alliance with his enemy render her strenuous efforts to win the approval of her husband almost futile. Even though she failed him in a hopelessly complex situation, why would he allow his former fiancé to get away at an attempt to kill her? When her dying father calls her home to England, she is forced to be braver than her years as her exiled, murderous half-brother, Gilbert, attempts to wrest control of Bamborough Castle, their family home, from her father, who was determined to never allow Gilbert the inheritance. Could Alysandir, her wizened warrior husband soften her battle-hardened heart, protect her from her treacherous half-brother and win back her love? Growing up amid the border wars taught Isabel to be strong, cautious and adaptable. Fighting in those wars made Alysandir inflexible, distrustful but patient and brave. Could he secure his lands and keep his new bride safe from those who wished to harm her, or even protect her from herself? After breaking her, could he gather her back to himself and teach her to trust him before her half-brother and brother-in-law kill her over a piece of borderland?
