Alex is a outcast among his peers, rejected by his family and pack. Yet through all this he can still find the good in everyone, the bright side to all bad things that happen. He’s tried so hard to gain approval from others but is slowly losing hope that he ever will.

Logan has had a rough past, and because of his experiences his eyes are wide open to all the cruelty and hatred in this world. He fears letting people in because they only turn around and walk right back out again, so he refuses to let anyone in.

Alex has been in love with his next door neighbor since 9th grade when he moved here, although he has never uttered a word to him afraid of more rejection. Logan has always wondered about the small shy boy that lives next door with a loud, boisterous family.

What will happen when Logan finds Alex unconscious behind the school bleeding from several places. Will he make it his job to protect the scrawny boy or will he turn a blind eye and act as if it never happened?
