Going to university was one of Jung Soojin's ways from escaping the clutch of being associated with her family name and the expectations that came with them. Adding the fact that she was not very well-liked by some of them due to her status, it was more than a perfect escapade for her. This was the plan: survive four years, in the university, with her childhood friend Park Sooyoung accompanying her. It sounded too perfect to be true-and, indeed, it was too perfect to be true.

Two semesters in, she already faced the danger of retaking one of her classes and falling behind the rest of her classmates. Her grades were plummeting down, her social life on a rise-all thanks to Sooyoung. But, troubled by the consequences if this broke out to certain family members (especially how she was considered to be at the bottom of the hierarchy), she had to grudgingly accept the offer to be tutored by a fellow classmate, Do Kyungsoo.

If she failed to pull her grades up by the end of this semester, she knew that more problems were waiting for her-and they were even more harrowing than getting kicked out of her programme.

That was the price she had to pay for being born.
