20 years before the Miraculous had re-emerged, 18 year old Gabriel Agreste and Emilie Chevigné went on a summer vacation trip to Tibet to celebrate their 3rd anniversary of dating, and found the peacock and butterfly Miraculouses, along with the Miraculous book, in a hidden cave behind a waterfall, during a swim.

98 years and a half after the peacock and butterfly Miraculouses went missing, 18 years and a half after Gabriel and Emilie found the peacock and butterfly Miraculouses along with the Miraculous book, and half a year after she went missing, Emilie woke up in a strange place.
