"'Now that we're alone... wanna tell me how you turn invisible?'

I dropped the books I was holding and my heart dropped into my stomach. I'm sure I turned completely invisible, but I was too afraid to check.

I already screwed up.

I tried to form words, to laugh it off, tell him he was crazy.

But no one had ever confronted me like this, like he was just asking what I had for dinner last night.

'What, like no one's ever caught you? It's happened three times since I met you yesterday.' He pointed out.

'What? I... I don't know what you're talking about...' I trailed off. He rolled his eyes.

'Are you deaf? I just told you I saw you do it 3 times. Plus, you're shady and you have a fake name. If it's such a big secret you should do a better job of hiding it.' He said smugly.

I scratched my forehead nervously. 'Wha... when... wait...'

'When I chased after you after chemistry yesterday, during government when Mr. Berkhart slammed his book, and today when I was grilling you about your name. Parts of your hands disappeared each time. Don't even bother denying it. You're invisible right now!'"Todos os Direitos Reservados

As though he is regretting his choices. Well he should. "If you have the guts, make me." As I completed my sentence he went near his table and brought something. He came closer to me and I started walking backwards. He copied me and walked forward until my back met the wall. I just wish I knew if I could trust him or not. Or maybe the better question is--can he trust me? I almost forgot to tell you the craziest part of all. I'm radioactive.

ranked #49 in hiding I was suddenly just so angry that I was living in fear of this kind of attack. Why? Because we were different. Because we weren't human, and we didn't live in the darkness, and so we were attacked from both sides, always having to look for an escape route. So I snapped, and instead of running towards the door like I knew I should have, I threw a punch that was supposed to land in his rib cage, hopefully breaking a few and causing enough internal damage that he would be down for a while. But that didn't happen, because once that punch was thrown my attacker grabbed my wrist and threw me against the wall and stabbed me with a stake that ripped right through my red skull kitty tank top and cut into the flesh that covered my heart. That was when I heard the slow chuckle and that annoying voice I knew all too well say, "Not bad, but you're still dead."

She may be right most of the times. This time I think my mother could be wrong. Mother doubted me only to be proved wrong. I can coexist with wolves, I've been doing it for years. Now the humans. They are tempting for a hybrid like me. I can push past their tempting blood for 8 hours each day. The thing is I might not want to but I can. Life just keep throwing obstacles my way. Now I have a beloved. An extremely tempting beloved. My demon loves the taste of blood. How long before she gets a taste or our mates?

Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. And with strange new powers, the teenagers struggle to live in the unfamiliar world they thought they knew so well.

Now we will be both unnamed." He let out a little laugh. Which is nice so I do the same thing. "We don't need to be unnamed, just not our real names or last names. So what's your FAKE name?" I did put emphasis on the word fake and started smiling, and so did he.

Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it. Whoever that was is like us. "Did you just see that?" I ask "You're that person my brother and I saw," He says. Oh no... Why then? "Wait! You're-" Completed just editing. (Don't be too harsh please)

I looked straight at his eyes as his seems to study every inch of my face, probably looking for any sign of weakness that screams his name. He won't find one though. I've moved on and the only effect he has on me is only a fragment of what I felt for him before. He continued to study my face and it made me uncomfortable. Why won't he answer my question? With a sigh, I turned around to return to the safety of my house-where I know I'll be safe from those eyes that looks like it doesn't want to let mine go. "I wanted to see you" he answered. "I want to see you again." If you've already closed a chapter in your life and you're already about to open a new one, what would you do if the past chapter comes opening itself up? Will you flip through the pages once more or would you turn your back on it knowing that that certain chapter will always be the best one? Or would you choose to start on a new promising one?
