A choice was bestowed upon the children of men and elves , to live a life as a mortal or immortal. 

Lirah, was the youngest daughter of Eärendil and Elwing. The last child after the twins Elros and Elrond. 

The three elves loved each other greatly , but separated once Elros chose a mortal life while Elrond chose to be immortal. 

Torn between her brothers , Lirah found herself desiring the life of a mortal. Promising to be with Elros, her choice was halted as she witness the grief that came upon her brother Elrond .

The guilt made Lirah stay by his side for thousands of years . Until Elrond, finally accepted the possiblity of losing her. Rejoiced by her brother's decision , Lirah was ready , until a certain elf came to her life .
