She looked around to the yard and there was nothing in sight, nobody in sight. They could have sworn they heard a knock. She sighed and mumbled something nonchalantly about kids and their pranks, looking down at her feet. She paused. 

A letter. 

She picked up the letter and swiftly turned it around to look at the address. It was addressed to them, but from who, was blank. 

She looked around briefly across the dark streets again before closing the door, and walking into the kitchen, fumbling to open the cold and worn letter. 

She looked down at the parchment and read aloud. Her heart skipped a beat.
