A society split into two sides: People who follow Magick, and people who follow Science. Olivia Parker's dad is one of the head scientists in the city and she's been living nearly on her own in for two years ever since her mother vanished. Obsessed with tracking down her mother, Olivia has sleepless nights and hours where she simply thinks, and then Ryder comes along: A boy who seems to know everything, even the things no one is supposed to know.

Ryder is mysterious and handsome, but also mischievous. When Olivia transfers to the other side of town in a desperate attempt to find her mother, she has to choose between her father and her friends - between right and wrong - but sometimes it's not that clear. And sometimes what’s right is still wrong. Olivia’s new life with Ryder isn’t going to be easy.
