24 new emails looked back at you from the screen. You could feel the headache setting in, but you opened your email anyway, looking through the new messages. Two from your statistics professor, about a new assignment, another one from the RA in the dorm building, one from the admissions office, about your application to the study abroad program, one from your American history professor- Hold the phone. You rapidly clicked on the email from the admissions office, scanning through the paragraphs. Reviewing your application to the program... taking into account your grades and your major... looking at schools in the area... pleased to say we can accept you into the program. Accepted. There's a man-I know what you're thinking- there always is, the only issue is that...he's WAY too hot. It's as if God made him using the fires of hell (cause his eyes scream sin) and gave him the perfect thing he needed to come off as a gentleman- an accent and then, decided to mess with me by making him my teacher. My fucking teacher. Forcing me to watch and watch only as he walks into the class, takes off his blazer in a motion that makes my mouth water, and teaches biology. Teaching us how babies are made, and vehemently refusing to give me a private class on the same. But I know he isn't as proper of a gentleman as he seems- proper ones don't get attracted to eighteen-year-old girls and God forbid- stalk them. And I don't miss the way his eyes darken when he sees me, the way he tries his best to keep me around, and especially the glare he gives all the boys that approach me. He says he cares because I am his star student but I know better. I know the truth. I am more than a student to him. I am his noctiluca.

On March 30, 2024, our school organized a field trip to an ancient museum. The anticipation was high as my cousin Miko and I eagerly took our seats on the bus. As the bus started moving, I decided to watch the newly released movie "Gomburza" on Netflix, while Miko plugged in his headphones and enjoyed some music. Around 1:07 PM, the Tourguide came up with an exciting idea to keep us entertained during the journey. They decided to organize games for us to enjoy while we were still taking the route to the museum. It was a fun way to pass the time and get to know our classmates better. After a few hours of traveling, we finally arrived at the museum. Miko and I were engrossed in a conversation when we suddenly realized that we had gotten separated from our classmates and teachers. Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him.
