This may sound strange, but the interaction of the Potato Head characters from the Toy Story film franchise always bugged me. More specifically, the way Mr. Potato Head talked to and treated Mrs. Potato Head at times rubbed me the wrong way. For a while now, I've had this story idea about a woman literally giving parts of herself to her man to please/keep him. That somehow morphed into this story series about the Potato Heads.
So, here it is. A short story series about a reimagined Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, as well as overcoming toxic relationships.

Dog Toy: A Poppy Playtime Fanfic
The first thing you notice is the torso with the bloodied, fleshy severance. Then the strung-up arms. Then the hanging head of something, someone, that looks so familiar. A dog, so similar to the other anthropomorphic characters... It comes to you, finally catching the name of this toy: Dogday. What the hell is he doing here? --- I've been so obsessed with the Smiling Critters since seeing Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, especially the one character who deserved better.
