At birth every child is scanned to see if they will manifest psychic abilities. If a child is found to be a potential psychic user they are then sent to a special school called the McCallister school for psychic study, or commonly refereed to as psy high. Jacob is a young man who is a student at this psy high. He is nearing the age where he is either placed into a field where he will become a help to society, or becomes a permy, a permanent resident of the school. Struggling to control his powers, and believing his ability is a curse he fears becoming a permy. However, his placement is the least of his worries as he find out the school is not all its cracked up to be.

Although the world appeared to be normal, one day changes occurred. The 'New Generation' was formed. Young children moving toward highschool started developing abilities. These abilities were the same or shared with gods and mythical creatures. For example one had the abilities of Zeus able to produce lightning, and so on. These were called the 'Irregulars', all sent to 'Sacred High', a highschool created specially for them. This however is not a normal school, as there are no adults around to lead anything.
