Being dragged back into his work routine and boring lifestyle without his other half, as he believed, makes no sense to him anymore. Having daily voice-mails of family and friends asking him to seek help just adds on to his misery. With life’s challenges thrown at him, he decides he just needs someone who will listen to him without judging his love. What will happen when Aiden takes the first step into Dr. Lombardi’s office? Will he be able to recover from losing his love? Will these sessions of non-judgmental therapy become just that? Or will he discover something new in his psychologist office?

There are moments in life that you work so hard for, things your younger self couldn't even imagine you doing... and when those moments arrive, what do you do with them? After joining the Victim Services Branch of the FBI in Quantico, it's been a dream to interact with the BAU and assist a case of theirs. Your lifestyle of late nights and overworking yourself keep you single despite this loneliness you refuse to acknowledge. But when you're constantly reminded of how quickly life can shatter around your feet, leaving you bare and bleeding as you try to put the pieces back together as neatly as you can... only for life to never be the same again, you start to feel it a little more. When the call finally comes, your work pulls you into a case the BAU is tackling, and while it caught you a little off guard, you walk away from the case with something more. Spencer has never shown vulnerability until you came around, and then things changed. From innocent comments to passionate nights, your world shifts as your two souls collide into one. *Disclaimer/Trigger Warning: this story is a work of fiction building off of information gathered from the series Criminal Minds and my own experiences within social service work. This story will contain mature topics such as addiction, mental health, suicide (past tense), trauma, detailed intimacy (idk if I'm qualified to deem this smut, so you be the judge), intercourse, and other topics readers may feel uncomfortable with.

"You will meet together every Wednesday." She says with a smile, jotting down something on her clipboard. I grab my dry erase marker and start to scribble furiously on my white board. I flipped the side over to face the therapist and she read aloud. "I don't even know who this person is." "You can't isolate yourself, Wynter. Friends are nice to have around, for encouragement, to laugh with, and sometimes even cry with." She says and I shake my head vigorously. "Wynter, you make yourself think you don't need anyone's help or company, because you are scared. You've been hurt too much, so you put this defensive wall up, that no one can break down." She says and I frown at her. "It's time to let those walls down, honey." She pats my knee and I shake my head again. "And this is the person that's going to help you do it." '·.¸¸.·''¯'··._.· '·.¸¸.·''¯'··._.· Wynter Adams hasn't spoken in eight years. No one knows why, or what happened to make her this way. She attends therapy and when she refuses or her behavior becomes destructive she stays over night at Mercies Children's Hospital. When she's given an assignment from her therapist to spend her afternoon with another patient she refuses, but the therapist insists this is her cure. He is her cure. Asher Linn has been in intensive care and therapy for his temper, for running away from home five times, and for his alcoholism. His therapist recommended some medication to help with his mood swings. But Asher became sick of them and was immediately engulfed in the arms of depression. Asher agrees to meet up with this 'other patient' just so he could escape the hospital. But everything doesn't go according to plan.
