Kira won numerous piano competitions when he was a kid. However, he quit playing when his mother died and started to live a reckless and rebellious life. But he has a secret. He is terminally ill.
Though they live next door, the two never really talked to each other at school. Until one encounter. Claire then becomes eager to save Kira and make him live a life worth living. Even when she has her own battles to fight and own secrets to keep.
