They were meant to be used for research purposes on hybrids, but they were deemed failures when one went missing and the other developed strange abilities. Things were going array with the project and an accident happened on the Ark, sending the ship plummeting in space trapped in an endless grave. Thankfully, due to the experiment's abilities they were able to adapt. Together, their learning to adapt to the world and act like normal-ish hedgehogs. However unapproving the busy world maybe. On the way, they pick up some friends who are becoming suspicious with recent events. While Sonic and Shadow are just trying to keep their secret alive.
