Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy. Although neither of them would ever admit, that's the only reason why I know of her. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to have to forsake who I truly am just to fit into their liking. When one day during summer break he wandered through the town outskirts to somehow find an abandoned burial tomb with a strange artifact. Knowing of potential dangers yet still filled with curiosity, he had explored the area to discover more and upon closer examination a gem on a pedestal, he had surges of pain with many visions of the potential powers gained while having the gem infused within him before losing consciousness. Upon waking sometime later, he was regaining memories of the recent occurred events and found himself to test his powers. Lifting and making a nearby feather float from the ground with such supernatural capabilities made Marcus very aware of his strength and his inability to no longer to live a "normal" life. In fact, it can be considered that he was given a chance to have an easier life with what he can do with his powers. Then again, nothing is ever free in this world...
