Lee Everett, 42, has served his time for the aggravated assault with intent to murder on his wife's lover, the State Senator. After a five-year prison sentence and a vicious divorce, Lee is left a homeless, jobless and increasingly depressed parolee. Forced to move back to his hometown of Macon, Georgia, Lee reluctantly takes up work at his family's Pharmacy, struggling to reform a bond with the parents and brother he abandoned years ago for his now ex-wife.
