I intend to be one of them. The heroes are crowding enough of the spotlight, in my opinion. It's time for me to step up. I just know I can do it - I'll be the undoing of sidekicks. ≈ standalone extension to the undoing of heroes' universe. ✎ completed cover: @narwhellyComplete

Nightmare - Secret Identities Book 1
Shortly after World War II, something happened to the human race-something extraordinary. After so much death, humans grew to evolve. Some became stronger, others faster. However, many developed more dramatic abilities-superpowers, to put it simply. Some "Paragons," as they deemed themselves, could fly; others could read minds. And some of them got completely fucked in the power department. Not everyone evolved to possess these skills. These people-muggles, cripples, "Voids"-were viewed as lower; to Paragons, they were useless, worthless wastes of space. Anyone weak was like a bug to them; well, most of them. As anyone would expect, when a good portion of the world becomes powered, some of them are bound to have a superhero complex.Complete
No Superheroes Allowed
Long ago a group of superheroes and villains worked together to prevent an invasion. But they managed to kill more people than they saved. Their destruction caused the perception of those with powers to dramatically shift; to the point of outcast. 50 years later crime has increased to the point where not even the police respond to calls. Few heroes went into hiding to 'play normal'; like my family and I. I live in New Haven City. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind. The victims of these horrific acts are not taking that lightly. Why not make a team of heroes? A team that doesnt give a shit what the NSA or the Mayor has to say. A team of young teens who probably don't even listen to each other. That will save the world...Complete

[Formerly Featured!] Coming back from a vacation, with a gun pointed at her head was definitely not what Jean Saunders expected. Especially seeing a man flying around in the air, claiming to be the city's superhero. At least he wasn't wearing that embarrassing spandex outfit. Alas, due to her capability for getting into trouble, the city's superhero eventually recognises her and not in a good way, at all. Catching a superhero's attention is never a good thing. -------------------------- Opening and closing his mouth, he made some gestures as if he was trying to speak but he couldn't find the words to convey his message. "...what are you?" He finally managed to speak and I blinked my eyes at him. The heck? Does he think I am some sort of...alien? It's not like I'm some kind of weird species! What the heck does he think I am? "I'm human!" I said, narrowing my eyes at him. --------------------------Complete
