Although plagiarism isn't typically seen as a criminal offense in the legal sense, any effort to obtain academic credit through deception is subject to severe academic consequences that could result in expulsion.
Plagiarists can be sued outside of the "real world," where they may also face failure and embarrassment.

I am 16 years old and finally will have a life out the home I have know for so long. I will be going to a school. The leaders of our city will be picking which school I fit in. Being trapped inside one place most of your life is suffocating. So I took it upon myself to go behind my mother's back every chance I got to leave. I never thought that one day I would be caught.
