A comic idea I've had bouncing around in my head for a while-- Pirates and an assortment of mystical entities in the 1800s, roaming the atlantic sea, in a world of magic and some steampunk elements(even if the steampunk thing ain't that relevant and honestly is just an extra element) Follow the Marlins and their many adventures!
This will basically be a compilation of short stories, maybe some story arcs and stuff, but don't expect too much linear storytelling. Also in the storytelling department, I'll have one in one POV and another with switching ones, or another in a different POV and or writing style, fair warning. It's also gonna have an ass ton of characters, so buckle up kiddos.
P.S I couldn't really fit the entire picture on the cover so I just screenshot it. I still made the cover, just couldn't actually put the thing on. Professional as fuck, right?

Nothing in this story happened in real life, I created all events that take place in this other than what happens on June 26th, but even then it's bent to relate to this story and so that it's a tad bit original. After his sister passed away many years ago, his life has taken a dark turn, leaving Nico to only see the bad things in his life. Nico has very few friends, a half sister that he loves dearly, and a crush on one of his only friends. Wow, super sucky story description!! After losing his father, Lain's love Adaira gets pulled into the sea by sirens. Monty, A shipwrecked fisherman, tells of a melody in the water; the same one Adaira sang to Lain the night she was taken. Gavin, the lighthouse keeper who found Lain that dreadful night, knows more than he's letting on. While working the apothecary shop, Lain struggles with grief and filling his da's shoes. It doesn't help that Finlay, Lain's unrequited love, is back in town, wondering what went wrong in their friendship, or that every time he plays his violin something goes wrong. Thankfully, Monty sticks around, though Lain is uncertain as to why. With his da's journal, mythical plants, and violin, Lain and Monty endeavor to enchant his siren to come home, and not drown in the process, whether it be by sirens, kelpies, or the caoineag. Everyone in this story has lost someone or something. Grief and healing are the heart of it all. Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to!
