The au protector and destroyer have been slowly but surely getting along more. Sure they had their occasional little fights and they still stayed loyal to their jobs. But, many would agree things were getting better. Ink, wasn't working as much to oppose the other and the same was for error. along with that error was starting to even gradually get better when it came to his extreme fear for any sort of physical contact.
Things within the multiverse were going along quite well. Even core frisk had a sort of hope that the seemingly endless war between the two monsters would finally come to an end within time.
Many problems have to be overcomed first of course before that would happen.
And the world was filled with much more than just a handful of problems

[NSFW] In this world, we live in a world where everyone's AU has died out, only find out there was a heaven and hell. One per AU. Of course, the 'awares' had this place they could always go to to talk and was considered as the middle. The center, the heart. As well as hang outs, like a place for the Bad Time Trio, etc. Now, they have angels, demons, and the fallen. Fallens are angels who have committed a sin, but not evil enough to become a demon. They are frowned upon. Not considered the same. Sadly, most of them consist of young children. The angels and demons of course would fight. And at the heart of angel society, was Ink. He was the most cutest, pure, and innocent bean you could ever find. Then there was Nightmare. Being able to have him right around his fingers. Every year, if either on the Angel or Devil side, if there isn't another ruler to rule alongside the main one, or 'protector', then there is a specific time you have to find someone. Otherwise, you get kicked off as it is unfair to rule alone. The only reason Ink isn't kicked off is because he has someone ruling with him. Dream & Blue. Of course, Nightmare has only been able to stall by trying to find one, seeing them as not the one, and the counter gets reset. You can't do it forever though. Now, Ink terribly naive for a protector. Of course, he was the heart. He had a place in everyone's heart- With Dream & Blue being the next. Blue being a guard, and Dream being his 'right-hand man.' Most of the time being the one helping and guiding Ink. They soon find him to be missing, captured by the demons. Panic would be spread all over the place if they were to find out Ink was missing. With this, and a limited time to work with, considering if you were to officially become a ruler of somewhere, your heart has to actually want to leave if you were to leave.
