Love Strikes Back (Poem)

It is rightly said that when our nails grow we cut our nails and not our fingers. Similarly when our ego rises, we cut off our ego and not the relation. But in this world where ego, misunderstandings, lies and breakups conquer a huge part, such theories are rarely followed. People often forget that life is too short to hold onto anger and hatred. Instead one should hold onto the person that once meant a lot to them.

This poem is a tale of two teens that were once immensely in love with each other. But just one mistake, one lie was all it took to break their relation. In this poem, the girl shares her emotions, her voidness, her regrets for letting the lies and ego come up in their relation. But unlike others who stick up to their grudges, will she forgive the love of her life and make amends?

Will she let the love arise once again from the ashes of hatred?
