Follow the story of three young women during the Newsie strike of 1889. When they cross paths, what events transpire thereafter are forever changed. With clashing personalities such as their's, all hell could break loose.
Genevieve Conlon (aka Amazon) runs the Newsies of Brooklyn with her twin brother Spot. She has everything she needs: a brother who loves her, the freedom to do what she pleases and as close to a family as an orphan can get. Genevieve doesn't want anything to change. One person walks into her life and changes everything.
Sofia Kelly is running from her past. Under the alias of Lioness, she and her twin Jack lead the Manhattan newsies like parents do their children. Sofia longs to leave the city for Santa Fe, New Mexico. She saves up every spare penny for the journey, not letting anything distract her until someone throws her completely off track.
Charity Jacobs wants freedom. The possibility of making her own decisions entrances her. She manages to place herself beside her older brother David as he sells newspapers on the city streets. Her situation becomes more complicated than she could have ever dreamed after a single person becomes close to her heart.

Racetrack Higgins was a normal Manhattan Newsie- more or less. He was Gay, but so were all of his brothers. He was Jack's Second in Command and had a rough past. He was stubborn, has anxiety, and is a good bit chaotic. Spot Conlon was not a normal Newsie. He was the King of Brooklyn, the Borough feared by most. Except for Race. (And a few others.) Said Italian blonde boy was actually a half Brooklyn, half Manhattan Newsie, as he sold in Brooklyn. Sure, Spot scared him sometimes, but not a lot. They were very different. Spot had brown hair, Race had dirty blonde. Race had been to the Refuge, Spot hadn't. Spot had brown eyes, Race had bright blue eyes. Race was strong, but easily outnumbered, Spot was strong, but wasn't easily outnumbered. One think they both agreed was that they cared for their boys more than anything and would do anything to keep them safe. Oh, that and that the other was cute. Race hums, passing a card to Sling, then himself, and then Ace. "Do you have a crush on Spot?" Ace asks, still staring at his cards. Sling hides his smile with his cards in front of his face, stifling a laugh. "No." Race answers, his face reddening slightly as he passes out another card to each boy. Ace looks up at him. "BS." He responds, smirking. Race scowls at him, pulling his hat off of his head and smacking Ace with it, all while his face turns bright red. Ace and Sling laugh. ~~ ~~ (I do not own Newsies.) Ten years ago in 1889 there was a little girl at the age of 6 running away and her name was Emma. Emma ran away from her abusive parents and she ran into the infamous Jack Kelly. He was the leader of the Manhattan Newsies, he took Emma in with the boys in the lodging house. Emma soon became known as Tiger, the only Manhattan Girlsie. Jack took care of Tiger as if she was his own blood she was pretty much his sister and every Newsie knew this. Tiger used a special technique to sell her papers just like every other Newsie. Tiger was a flirt and known for it, it was how she sold her papes. Yes Tiger was a flirt but she swore to herself that she wouldn't get into a relationship especially with one of the Newsies but Racetrack Higgins her best friend took that as a challenge.
