Ashvyn Carver is Changed, a human with the ability to control one of five elements. At home, she acts human; playing the part of a good and loyal citizen of the Republic. But Changed are outlawed and any caught within the State are subject to forced removal and/or arrest.
Ashvyn loves her family and her country. Hell her father runs the damned city. But when her abilities are accidentally revealed at a family function, Ashvyn's forced to flee.
With the help of Xander, her brother's best friend, and her lover, Ashvyn finds herself in the middle of Kaitia's center of operation. Navigating the ways of the rebellion isn't easy, especially when once again, Ashvyn is forced to be something she's not. No one can know her family ties to government for if they do, it won't end in an arrest. It'll end in execution.

When the elemental world starts to crumble they need someone to help save them out of the darkness that they have entered. Flash forward to many years later when the final action takes place for that savior to be born. Meet Raven Madison. Raven isn't an ordinary girl. From the second she was born she was given a power that could literally save or destroy the world. Due to unfortunate events of her past, her life wasn't the greatest. Right before she was adopted at age ten, she lost all her memories. After the adoption life seemed as normal as possible, besides a few fractured memories of her forgotten past. At the age of seventeen, she now goes by Rae and her only worries are trying to please her parents while also trying to live life the way she wants, forget these recurring nightmares, and survive life at her new school. At her new school, The Academy for the Gifted, Rae is faced with a few challenges by trying to survive high school like any other normal teenager with her two best friends. But in this new school with these new kids and friends, her past is starting to come back and because of it, she has to deal with new problems while also trying to figure out who she really is and the truth behind those fractured memories. -------------------------------------------------------- There is some swearing in this book so you have been warned.
