Book 2 of the Hunter series

My name is Audra and I live with Mr. Henry Palmer and his son Grayson, who I guess technically adopted me. I didn't have the greatest life growing up, my parents abandoned me and I was tossed around from foster home to foster home. It's been two years since the Palmer's found me and all of a sudden strange things start happening to me. Random people come up to me and claim that I remind them of a girl with auburn brown hair and blue eyes. 

I have never seen any of these people before while Grayson and Henry are very worried about my safety around these new people. Is there a possibility that I could have something to do with this missing girl or is everyone else mistaking me for someone else?

"You really aren't her, are you?" he questioned while eyeing me up and down. He didn't have a happy expression on his face.

"That girl you keep talking about? Not really," I replied, somewhat understanding why that girl would have ran away from this maniac. This guy is a stalker and a complete lunatic, I don't blame her for running away when she did, it was probably to get away from this guy. 

"You better make that clear when other people start mistaking you for her also" he commented while walking closer to the lake. I wasn't sure what his motives were, but at the same time I wasn't trusting him or going anywhere near him. 

"Other people?" I questioned, not sure why that sounded like such a bad thing coming out of my mouth. 

"I am not the only one looking for Hazel," he commented while turning to look at me and send me a smirk. I wasn't sure how that affected me because I wasn't this Hazel girl, but this crazy guy seemed to think that I was Hazel.Tous Droits Réservés

I sense him before I see him but carry on with folding the washing. "I see you found me." I say loud enough for him to hear. I feel him walking towards me. I can tell who its just by looking at their uniform. We all get given a unique uniform that is made for us. I carry on folding the washing whilst waiting for his reply. "We need you to come in." He replies nochantly. I smile and turn around flicking off his hood. "And what do I need to come in for? Brother." I ask, emphasising on brother. His face remains emotionless but his eyes betray him. They are filled with sadness, anger and betrayal. "You know why otherwise you wouldn't have let us find you." He replies. My smile widens. "You know me so well. I had my suspicions but I want to here it directly." I tell him. He growls at me, "They're back. Okay. "You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it. I guess I didn't put it in my bag... I looked up to thank him, but ended up not being able to find my voice. He's really attractive. Drop dead gorgeous attractive. Hot. He has brown hair that is spiked up in a messy way and shiny chocolate brown eyes that are hard not to stare at. His jawline was firm and he is extremely tall compared to my 5'3" height; he seems like he's 6'1". He looks in good shape -- the white shirt he was wearing showed off his broad muscular chest. He wore a leather-mans jacket from the school over the t-shirt, with black denim jeans, and converse. I swallowed. I snapped out of it and took the paper forcing myself to say "thanks." However, he walked away before I even finished. OK... he obviously isn't interested in the 'new girl' like all the other students are. I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Out of all the guys that have hit on me in school today he is the only one that has caught my eye -- bad news is that he didn't even bother. "You know him? I'm surprised the cheer-bitch hasn't threatened you yet." Jessica said, her face showing shock. "Um, no I don't know him... and cheer-bitch?" I frowned confused. "She's his ex-girlfriend, but considering she has such a small brain that is a size of a peanut, she won't leave him alone. I mean like seriously, EX; has she not heard of that quote, 'Thanks for the EXperience, Our time has EXpired, now EXit my life.' She is one clueless bimbo. Then again who would leave him alone he is S-E-X-Y!" I laughed. "I am going to love being your friend." I said while I looked back to where he had headed a while ago, but I no longer saw him. I sighed disappointed.

I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. "What are you doing in my land, human?" A deep enchanting voice spoke I sighed once again "I'm not human, just smell like one" I spoke as I turned around to see the most stunning man I have ever seen "Mate" he spoke "Find another female, Lycan" I spat He only growled at me in response.
