Paul McCartney has been going to the same secondary school with the same group of students for the past 3 years. This being his last year in school, he wants to make it his very best. The only downfall is, he only has one friend, George Harrison.
Which is fine, but it can get heartbreakingly lonely.
The first day back, a boy by the name of John Lennon is in Paul's English class and, instantly, he makes Paul feel quite nervous. John was the personification of trouble.
One day, John and Paul find eachother in an unexpected place and it changes both of their lives... in many more ways than one.
If they want to have a romantic relationship, it'll have to stay a secret, especially if they want to make music together. It is illegal, after all.

And really, all John wants to do is to, somehow, get that Paul-boy alone so that the two of them can become... closer. This has proven itself to be a difficult challenge as George, Paul's best mate, is inseparable from Paul. Nearly attached at his hip. Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. There was the mob, all reaching and grabbing at something on the ground. Several of them were screaming bloody murder (due to the excitement of the fallen Beatle or because they were being pushed and shoved was unknown). "Paul McCartney! Usually, the lads from Liverpool are quicker than the crowd, but, one day, the fans happen to grab a hold of none other than The Beatles' bassist, Paul McCartney, effectively beating his body and mind to a pulp. This angst/hurt comfort story tells the tale of Paul McCartney, who has been scarred by the brutality of his attack, and his three friends, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, who are trying their best to help Paul and his paranoid state of mind. Will the three friends help Paul? Or will they only make his situation worse? If so, will Paul go so far as to quit being a Beatle? Read "I'll Cry Instead" to find out!
