Annabeth is just a normal 15 girl, a sophomore at her high school, in fact, and has a imperfect life indeed. She has been training to become a kunoichi (a girl ninja) but, all of a sudden her Sensei goes missing! She wonders if she will ever be able to train again, but she highly doubts it. So when one day she bumps into a ninja, a very awkward looking one, she finally discovers that her true love, is none other than a certain turtle we know and love, and that her Sensei has never actually gone missing.

Then, just when she convinces herself that the bite was just some wierdo, she begins the Change. She starts hearing a voice in her head that claims to be her wolf. And finally, once she has finally gotten a handle on all these new changes (actually, she only thinks she has), a handsome guy walks into her life, and her inner wolf tells her that he is her destined mate. And just as she thinks everything is going perfectly, a man from her (very recent) past shows up and turns everything around. And he happens to be another mate. But a werewolf can only ever have one mate at any given time, as Annabeth has learned. So one is real, and the other is faking it, to put it simply. So now, she also has to figure out which one is "good" and which one is "bad". Just freaking great. And, just after she does that, she gets caught up in a war. (Well, technically, she starts the war, but let's not get caught up in the technicalities, shall we?)
