I made eye contact with him.
He had the sort of eyes that could see right through you, stare deep into your soul and pick apart your very existence. Warm, yet so stern and commanding at the same time.
His black trench coat rustled as he pulled out a gold pocket watch, as if waiting for just the right time to speak.

"They're on to you." He said, voice so gruff it almost startled me.

"What do you mean?" I stammered, now visibly confused.

"You know what you have done, you know what your actions have cost the agency. It is time for you pay the price."

I was speechless, I didn't know what to say.

"Goodbye old friend. I'm afraid neither you nor me have a lot of time left. I have kept the promise I made to you when you left. Now you must keep the one you made to them when you joined their ranks."

Handing me the stopwatch, he left- leaving me in shock.
I knew who he was.
