My village is small. We live a simple life of those who gather and hunt. Women gather, men hunt and only the crazy dare to dream. Simple life. Although a life where you are surrounded by forest that goes on forever isn't very simple, is it? 
Going beyond the forest is forbidding in Sloan's village but when her dad never comes back from going to hunt, she has to go find him.
