Lia is starting her Senior year. She is a busy woman on a mission, who manages the football team, volunteers at a nearby hospital, and takes too many AP classes for her own good.
Lia is apprehensive about her last year in high school and is hoping it lives up to her expectations.

Darren was a star at his old school- the most talented wide receiver in the state if not the country. Darren's senior year was supposed to bring college scouts, girls, and glory. After a harrowing, mostly undisclosed accident, Darren's dreams of playing college football- and walking without a limp- are given up.

Unable to go away for college due to his physical therapy, Darren accompanies his family as they move with his two younger siblings to small town Washington, where his cute neighbor knows a lot about football.
