Merlin and Arthur are on their way home when Merlin stops to give an unexpected explanation of the magic in stories.
This is short and sweet, but I think it's one of my best works so far. I was inspired by a tumblr post where the op gave a writing prompt that basically said "If you find bones in the forest, stop and listen. They might have some stories to tell. But if you find bones near the ocean, run. Run away as fast as possible because though the sea may seem calm and welcoming, it is not as forgiving as he forest." That wasn't word for word, but you get the gist. I decided to base this oneshot on the bit about the forest.

Merlin is the lost Prince. Ok... Here is another story that I just had to write. From the beginnig it was just a one shot.. Try not to copy anyone! At five years old Nimue moved to Camelot to live with her uncle, the kings own adviser, Merlin Ambrousius. Four years later another equally mysterious young person arrives in the city and takes up residence with Nim and her uncle. His name is Arthur, and to him a destiny is revealed that he never even dared to dream of. Nim and her uncle along with a few others will accompany Arthur on his journey and none of their lives will ever be quiet or simple or safe again.... This is my first upload on a site like this and i would just like to get some fed back. I write a lot, this ones kinda like a side story. I'm going to admit I always feel rather stupid when my friends read my stuff because I'm always sure its awful and they just aren't going to tell me so this seemed the best way to get some more honest fed back. always looking for advice if anyone is willing to give it. Revealfic set after 4x10: The Druid boy leaves a lasting impression on Arthur and in an attempt to fulfill his promise to the spirit he sets out to find the Druid tribes of Camelot and bring them together to make peace. He learns of stories, prophecies and of Emrys. He also can't get it out of his mind that the Druids are acting strange around his manservant, but he is sure the truth will come out soon enough, after all- Merlin couldn't keep a secret if his life depended on it. They try to run but there's no time. We try to hide but there's No TIME. when I was a kid, I tried to learn all I could but now I wish I could lose it all. <TW: As I lay here choking on my blood I stare at the heavens and ask for one last ray to see me off. As the rain washes my blood along the earth, being soaked in by the hungry land. That day something was different, something changed in me. A new light shines deep within me, my torso once in two now slowly becoming one as black tar slowly stitched me back together. The greedy land soaks up my blood, now not a drop lies in my body but the gods are ready as the earth slowly starts to reach for me taking me to its restless lands replacing my blood with tar. ^ This fic is a combination of a BBC's Merlin set in the future/ current times but it's more of an Adjacent timeline to ours, OC insert, and a bit of Arthurian myth set in the modern day. This is my first story so sorry if it's bad Even though it's an OC insert it can be read as a self-insert. OC's name is pronounced as Z-AYAH (Zaya) TW -bad writing - gore - gay? - no real sense of time - I'm a big fan of angst - I ship Lancelot x Gawain as well as Merlin x Arthur.
