Min Yoongi, music composing major, despises humans, except for his two close friends, Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin. Park Jimin, a dance major, is quite shy and scared of many people. However, his two best friends Kim Taehyung and Jung Hoseok help him have confidence in himself. Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin, soon to be wedded, are childhood friends of Yoongi and part-time caretakers of Jimin. They own the cafe "MoonChild Cafe" in Gangnam, Seoul. Kim Taehyung and Jung Hoseok, friends of Jimin and lovers to each other, are childhood friends of Jimin. Although, Hoseok met Jimin in primary school, not as toddlers like Taehyung and Jimin. Jungkook, a friend Jimin makes in "MoonChild Cafe". They lived and attended the same school as Jimin, but they did not talk to one another as they were in different grades. Lots of triggering events do happen in this book, don't read if you are sensitive to things like suicide, physical, mental, and emotional abuse, eating disorders, other mental health issues, depression, anxiety, gangs, death, drugs, and murder.
