Esta é minha primeira obra de ficção fantasiosa. O público alvo é entre 12 e 17 anos, idade exata dos cinco protagonistas da historias, mas os adultos também têm gostado muito! Embarque nesta aventura baseada na nossa cultura ancestral afrobrasileiras onde os superpoderes dos protagonistas vêm dos deuses africamos iorubás: os orixás!
SINOPSE
O equilíbrio entre os mundos visível e invisível foi fatalmente alterado. Os humanos estão sentindo as consequências, apesar de não terem nenhuma consciência de todos os Mundos que os cercam. Espíritos Ancestres protetores estão atentos e têm numa única garota a esperança para cessar os ataques constantes de Eguns, espíritos perdidos entre os mundos que estão causando pesadelos, insônia e perda de memória nas pessoas.
Luz Pereira da Silva é uma menina simples, moradora da favela na cidade grande, aluna regular e amiga fiel que se sente invisível. Ela acredita que não tem nada de especial, mas está errada! Um misterioso dom de repente se manifesta e sonhos constantes exigem que Luz encontre companheiros de jornada e parta em uma missão: buscar a poderosa orixá Oyá, rainha das tempestades e Senhora dos Eguns.

In JOS I set the rogue and con-artist Harric against a foil of warriors in a land threatened by magic and civil war. Whenever possible I turn familiar tropes on their heads: instead of a handsome young Lancelot, I cast a broken-down ex-champion addicted to pain-killing herbs; instead of a dashing Squire Brian, the old knight reluctantly takes an ambitious young woman as squire. Similarly, I re-imagine the standard medieval milieu by infusing aspects of two of my favorite historical periods, Elizabethan England, and The American Frontier. Both eras boast a kind of nationalistic arrogance that borders on hubris, and a magnificent spirit of resourcefulness and re-invention that is fun to play with.
