On their journey across the Atlantic, they encounter storms, hunger and hardship and constant challenges to their survival, even when they finally reached their destination. Not all would survive the perilous journey, but for those that did- the desire for a better life for their children and grandchildren drove them to places they could not have imagined. Lives are lost, but love is found along the way and the strength of family prevails. The saga follows several family groups through their emigration from Scotland to the new world and colonial Canada and America. Join the people of The Hector as they journey toward new horizons!

HIGHEST RANKING #6 in HISTORICAL FICTION! --- For all her life, Lady Evie Verrick had been regaled of tales of the Highlands from her Highland born and bred mother. She had grown up dreaming of chivalrous knights, sword-fighting, horse back riding. Tales of kin and family, loyalty and the warmth of a home. But being brought up in a traditional English household with a traditional father, her mother was the closest thing to the Highlands she could get. And when her mother died of pneumonia before her coming out, left to her father's care, Evie wants now, more then ever, to see the promised lands that she grew up with. --- Connor Gilroy had served as the first in command to the MacKenzie clan for as long as he could remember. He owed his loyalty to his best friend and brother in arms, Hammond MacKenzie, who had saved him from being skinned alive by English soldiers years ago, before the truce was signed between the two lands. Having no love lost for the country, Hammond would be the only person who could ever convince Connor to step foot back into English lands. His chief had recently received news on the death of the aunt he has never met, but Hammond was a man of his word, and he had promised his father he would care for all kin, regardless of who they were. But Connor never would've imagined that the cousin of his best friend would be a spirit of the flames. The way Evie took on life and all of its problems with a passion that ignited a hearth, would perhaps be the first time someone ever ignited more then just passion and desire within him.

||Book Two to Faith Unknown|| In the idyllic town of Mulberry, North Carolina, in the year 1774, Faith finds herself weaving the ever growing tapestry of life with her husband Rowan and their blossoming family. Amidst laughter, love, and the everyday joys of their little pioneer life, the shadows of history loom ever closer. Yet, as the summer of that fateful June dawns, the peaceful rhythms of pioneer life are shattered by the encroaching storm of the Revolutionary War, casting dark shadows over their idyllic existence. Struggling to understand her fractured self amidst the anguish of loss and betrayal, Faith finds herself torn between her loyalty to the land she loves and her desperate need to protect her children. As chaos unfurls around her, she embarks on a dangerous journey to aid the American Patriots, motivated by the haunting memory of a fallen loved one. With the threat of her enemy hunting her and the clock ticking, she grapples with the heartbreaking prospect of leaving her children behind. Will Faith navigate the treacherous waters of war and return to her family, or will her sacrifice become a haunting echo lost in the history books of America's birth? As history marches on, her courage may be the key to shaping not only her destiny but the future of a nation.
