For those who haven't realized in this book you play Maya. Aphmau and Aaron don't really get along. Before high school you and Aphmau were separated at age 4, Aphmau lives with Slvanna (duh), you used to live your father (Anton) and your step-mother who you had a okay relationship with. And imagine aphmau as she was in the emerald secret when Ein used a potion to hate Aaron. If she had the chance to go back to that day, she'd take that chance and run for the hills while she still could. 19 year old Prince Aaron, wanted absolutely nothing to do with her.
