This is a Steven Universe reader insert. There are no "x reader"'s in this. It's pre-Single Pale Rose. This is set where Stevonnie just came bac from space, after we get an Emerald reveal. In this, you are female and you have watched all the Steven Universe episodes, up to Legs From Here to Homeworld.

It was just a somewhat normal day for (y/n). She was dressed as her favourite character from her favourite TV show. Then, it all went haywire when the Diamonds came looking for her during a cosplay competition in the middle of a school assembly. She gets her friend to find the Crystal Gems and save her. Will they succeed? Or will (y/n) be killed in attempt of keeping the Crystal Gems' secrets secrets.Tous Droits Réservés

As she reconnects with Garnet and the other Crystal Gems, she must confront the consequences of her absence, her volatile power, and the deep bond she shares with those she once fought beside. SLOW UPDATES Many years ago, a gem emerged on the homeworld near the diamond palace. Pink, being the first one to recognize a gem emerging, told the other 3 diamonds about the information. As all four of them watched the new gem merge, it was discovered that the gem was born with two gems instead of one. Instead of shattering the gem, white diamond decided to keep them as they were a rare cut gem with an abnormal two gems instead of one. After the discovery, they decided to name the gem, Y/N. Y/N soon lived underneath the Diamonds and was treated as if she was a diamond herself. After Pink shattered, Y/N was heavily protected and had a harness around her at all times, always around either the diamonds or heavily guarded by two topazes and a jasper. After being allowed to roam around the Gem Warship, she was stopped by Steven who convinced her to help him find his friends and escape. After the explosion, she was founded by The Crystal Gems and was officially their 'hostage'. From being heavily guarded and kept within eyes sight and inside her whole life into being outside and experiencing many different emotions for the first time. This is when her story begins.

It was tough work healing all of Beach City. From the land to the settlements, all that was wrecked has now been rebuilt stronger and better than ever. But despite the prosperity, Steven misses Spinel more than he'll ever admit. Eventually, he's had enough and decides to go visit her on Homeworld. The question is though, is this feeling due to being separated from a new friend or is it fact something much deeper? Steven must find out soon because no adventure for him is without conflict and some such conflict is lurking around waiting to strike when he least expects it. Then you met Rose Quartz, she explained everything and she was the only one you trusted... until you were poofed. Suddenly you were thrust into a new Era, Rose Quartz seemed to have become a child, the people you feared are now on your side.
