A strange illness befalls the dragons of Daggerang, causing them to be mindless savage beasts. Or they seemed to be mindless at first. Humans started hunting dragons once more, the old war starting once more and the peace treaty forgotten. Ritzec and four other dragon mounts escape with their riders into the night, avoiding being slaughtered by the human King's army. The five dragons and their riders are determined to find a cause to this madness and put a stop to it at any cost.
