Maithili Malhan comes back home to India after seventeen years wanting to discover her parents reason of abandoning her at the age of six. She is determined to search for her parents and ask them the reason why she was left alone to stay away from India in the US in a house where she was only taken care of by an attendant and a cook. She wanted to ask them the reason for depriving her of parents' love and the reason for keeping her away from her homeland. In her adventure of searching the truth, she lands up in the state of Rajasthan "The land of Maharajas" where she gets herself abducted by a group of thugs and then is saved by other group of man who again kidnaps her mistaken by her appearance as their leader's soon to be bride.

In this journey of Maithili's search for truth a shadow keeps trailing her from behind and she is determined to uncover the mask of Mr. Raghav Thakur who she claims is the Devil under a facade of goodness.
